At 9 inches overall with a 4.5-inch Damascus blade, this is sized for everyday carry — light enough to have on you regularly, substantial enough to actually use. What sets it apart is the sheath: hand-engraved leather rather than the plain covers used on most of the collection, paired with a black-and-white resin handle with a Damascus-matched bolster.

 The Sheath Detail

Most leather sheaths in this collection are functional and plain by design. This one’s hand-engraved, adding a level of detail work that most knives at this price skip. It’s still built with belt space for real carry — the engraving is an addition, not a tradeoff against function.

The Blade and Bolster

Hand-forged Damascus steel in a twist pattern, hardened to 58-60 HRC, with a 40mm blade width and 4mm thickness. The bolster is forged from the same Damascus material as the blade rather than a contrasting brass piece — a detail more about craftsmanship than function, similar to a couple of other pieces in the collection that share this same touch.

Built for Regular Carry

At 250 grams with a half-tang construction, it’s genuinely sized for daily use rather than occasional field trips. The black-and-white handle, finished with file work and mosaic pins, gives it a distinct look against the more common single-tone resin handles elsewhere in the range.

Handmade to Order

Every knife ships with its hand-engraved sheath and is made to order, typically 5-7 business days before it leaves the shop. See the rest of our handmade damascus skinner knives to compare other sheath styles and handle colors.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “hand-engraved” mean for the sheath specifically — is it just stamped? It’s genuine hand engraving worked into the leather, not a machine stamp — expect some natural variation in the exact pattern between individual pieces.

Is the two-tone resin handle more fragile than a single-color one? No — the color combination doesn’t affect the material’s durability, it’s purely an aesthetic choice.

Is this knife suited to daily carry, or better for occasional field use? It’s sized and weighted specifically for regular everyday carry rather than heavier occasional field work.

Does the Damascus bolster require different care than the blade? No — treat it the same as the rest of the blade: wipe dry after use and apply a light coat of oil periodically.
